John Mark Thompson

John Mark has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years. He started shortly after graduating from Elon University in 2005 at Northwestern Mutual, where he built a successful planning practice. He transitioned over to JT Stratford in July 2025 where he decided to partner up with his brother-in-law and their team at JT Stratford and wanted more of a team approach where he felt he could better serve his clients, their families and businesses in that type of structure and organization.

He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 18 years and they have two teenage daughters. They live in Clemmons, NC and enjoy traveling, spending time watching their kids play competitive sports, and staying active and outside as much as possible. John Mark is a loyal fan of the University of North Carolina Tarheels and watches them as much as his schedule permits. He is heavily involved in his church at Reynolda Presbyterian and enjoys giving back to his community as much as possible.

John Mark holds life, health, disability, and long term care insurance licenses, as well as series 6, 63 and 7 securities licenses.
