Thomas Sherrill, CPA

With a B.S.B.A. in Business and a Master’s in Accounting from UNC–Chapel Hill, Thomas brings a strong analytical foundation to his work in wealth management and financial advising. As a CPA, he helps clients cut through the noise and focus on what matters most for their financial decisions.

Prior to joining JT Stratford, Thomas developed extensive experience in roles centered on financial process improvement, problem-solving, and customer service—a background that sharpened his attention to detail and reinforced the value of responsiveness and follow-through. He believes the best advice starts with strong relationships, and he genuinely enjoys getting to know clients and the people they care about.

Thomas is originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and recently moved to Winston-Salem from Atlanta, Georgia, to raise his family closer to extended family. He and his wife, Mary Stewart, have been married for seven years and they have a son, Bennett, with a second child—a daughter—on the way. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with family, staying active through exercise, and getting out on the golf course. He’s also an avid sports fan, especially when cheering on the Tar Heels, Jacksonville Jaguars,and Atlanta Braves.
