
Anthony Shope is a multi-generation Hall County native whose connection to the community runs deep. He and his wife, Shelley, have been married for 30 years and have two young-adult children. Anthony attended high school in Hall County and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of North Georgia.
Upon graduation, he worked for one of the nation’s largest poultry companies for 18 years in accounting and financial capacities. He was then the Firm Administrator for a large CPA firm for six years, and for the last eight years he worked as the Chief Operating Officer and shareholder for one of the largest technology providers in the Southeast.
Anthony has a passion for people in the workplace as well as in life. He finds satisfaction in helping employees reach their ideal role in an organization. He has successfully grown businesses over the last 15 years with the simple principle of listening to, learning from, and leading employees. Anthony believes fully engaging employees is crucial for business growth because it promotes an environment of loyalty, trust, and job contentment that ultimately leads to success for the employee and the organization.
Anthony enjoys spending time on Lake Lanier, traveling to new destinations, and being with family. He is a graduate of Leadership Hall County and a past Advisor Committee member to the Youth Leadership Hall program. He has served on the Board of the Gateway Domestic Violence Center and Interactive Neighborhood for Kids (INK). Anthony was also honored to represent UNG in their advertising campaign featuring 10 alumni whose leadership skills have made a positive impact on the region, nation, and world. He is a member and deacon of Lakewood Church in Gainesville, GA.
