Mark E. Gibbs is a Managing Director for JT Stratford. Mark specializes in providing comprehensive financial planning services for high- and middle-net-worth individuals as well as for those individuals just getting started. Providing a financial “road map” to individuals and couples is oftentimes the first step in providing the necessary tools to become a successful investor.
Mark’s experience and education have prepared him well for managing investments and providing personal financial planning advice. He spent over 13 years as a controller for Flowers Foods before opening up his own successful fee-only financial planning practice in 2004. In 2015 Mark merged his financial planning practice with JT Stratford to take advantages of the synergies both firms provide.
Mark currently resides in Gainesville with his wife and four children. As a husband and busy father of two boys and two girls, he’s been budgeting, saving and investing for years. He knows the challenges of funding college educations, saving for retirement, managing investments, selecting the right insurance, and developing estate plans.
Mark is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), holds an MBA with a concentration in finance, and has a Master’s Certificate in personal financial planning, both from Georgia State University. He serves on the board of the Buford North Gwinnett Rotary club and is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) as well as the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA). Mark and his family attend 12 Stone Church in Buford, Georgia, and in his free time, Mark likes to travel, spend time at the beach and attend his kids' sporting events.
